2nd Floor Bakery

I highly recommend 2nd Floor Bakery! The cake tasting session was awesome, with several flavors of cake, fillings and icing that you could mix and match to find your favorite combo, along with a slide show of cakes that they've done. At first, communication was a problem but that is no longer an issue since they opened a store on Lakewood Blvd. and have regular store hours. Their cakes are beautiful and they taste even better!

We had a couple problems getting in contact with everyone at Second Floor, however, we do realize they were in the process of moving their location to a brand new bakery. Completely understandable. I loved our cake, it tasted amazing and was designed exactly the way I wanted it. Everyone loved it! I would recommend Second Floor Bakery to any bride out there.

2nd Floor Bakery was so easy to work with. The sat down with us and allowed us to taste many of their cakes--which were all delicious. We talked about our day and she showed us some pictures we picked out the wedding cake that we wanted and then discussed some ideas for the grooms cake and gave her our cake topper....the grooms cake turned out amazing and hilarious. Would highly recommend them to do your cake.

I loved my cake-- -my mom keeps going on and on about how good it tasted, but it also looked incredible. I told them what I thought would be nice, and they took it to the next level and made it perfect. Its a little hard to get a hold of them-- you have to leave a message and they will call you back, but besides that, I loved their work and the cake!

We used flourless chocolate tortes from the 2nd Floor Bakery and absolutely loved them. They were beautiful and delicious. The business also provides bakery goods for several other caterers in the Holland area, so I'd recommend starting here.

We had a great experience with 2nd Floor Bakery for our Oct 3rd wedding. We had 15 individual cakes as centerpieces as well as a ceremony cake. They made 4 different kinds of cakes for us, each with a unique design. It looked great! All of our guests loved the look and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We had guests begging to take home leftovers! Our DJ also said that it was the best cake of all the weddings he has been to! I met with Katie one time prior to the wedding, told her what we were thinking, and it was delivered on wedding day...and it was really that easy! I would highly recommend 2nd floor bakery!

First I must say that my cake did turn out beautiful and it was delicous.There were problems though. I had a hard time getting a hold of second floor bakery. I left messages and it took awhile to get a call back. For my cake topper I chose an "A" in black fondant. well when it came to the day... THERE WAS NO TOPPER! I paid for that too. Also she had suggested putting real flowers on it which I decided not to do because the cake was busy enough. Well when I got to the reception site, my desired cake topper was not there and in its place was a floral arrangment of gerbera daisies and there were daisies randomly placed throughout the cake. I was not happy about that. After my wedding day I called to complain about the issues of my cake and I never got a call back. It's unfortunate because the cake really is delicious I just wish they were a little more professional and paid closer attention to order details.

2nd Floor Bakery made me the cake of my dreams! At my taste test, I chose my flavors and frosting and my design, and they made such a beautiful cake! Very classy and well put together. They are very affordable too. I opted to have two faux bottom tiers (and had sheet cakes from Sam's Club) and two real tiers and you couldn't even tell the difference. The only problem I had was they only answer their phone/check their messages and make call backs at a specific time each day so if you had an emergency, you wouldn't be able to get a hold of them immediately. Thankfully, I didn't have any emergencies. But if you are looking for a yummy cake and professional, experienced confectioners, check out 2nd Floor Bakery! They are a little hard to find as they are located in a yellow house on the 2nd floor (hence the name 2nd Floor Bakery) with little signage.
