Lori made my wedding cake / cupcakes and my groom's cake, and they all turned out absolutely beautiful! She did a fantastic job and everything was delicious-- I received countless compliments on how great the cupcakes were. She was very flexible and willing to work with me on pricing and design, and she was an absolutely fun person to work with! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding cake-- her website shows off the many designs she has done, but she is more than willing to try something new as well. Her cakes are a great value and I can't say enough good things about her work!

Desserts by Lori made an amazing cake for my wedding. It was both beautiful and delicious. The red velvet was perfect, and the design looked even better than I could imagine. I would definitely recommend them to friends, family, and everyone in the area.

Lori and her team are over the top. My husband and I loved her samples, and people are still telling us how delicious our cupcakes were. Not only were they decorated over the top, they greatly exceeded my expectations. And when it came to our cake, I went a little non traditional to surprise my husband and she couldn't have been more excited to do the order. I sat down with her a couple of times and she is genuinely happy to work with you.
I will be going through her for any special occasion we have in the future!

We obtained the cake and cupcakes for my daughter's wedding through Desserts by Lori. Lori's cake stood out in our memory from one of the bridal shows and when we went back for a tasting, we knew we wanted to work with her. When we told her about the wedding theme, she enthusiastically embraced it. The result was perfect: beautiful and delicious cake and cupcakes. It was really a pleasure working with Lori. She and her staff are great.

Lori was so sweet! She was wonderful and so easy to work with!! Our cake tasted delicious and looked beautiful! We were extremely happy with it! Our cake looked exactly like the picture we brought to our consultation and was exactly what we wanted! There was a little bit of confusion at first but all was clarified and turned out perfectly! We loved it and everyone else did too!!

Lori takes time to meet with you and get an idea of what you want your cake to be and provide a cake tasting. Desserts by Lori made a beautiful wedding cake - that tasted delicious!! Every singe guest commented on how wonderful the cake tasted! AND, Desserts by Lori also made us chocolate covered strawberries that truly WOWWED everyone!! You won't go wrong with Desserts by Lori.

Lori created the PERFECT wedding cake for me! She was very innovative in her design and created something unique that coordinated perfectly with my wedding colors and invitation theme. The cake was carmel with carmel frosting/filing - people were raving about it. I think my dad personally ate 5 pieces at the wedding!

Our cake turned out beautiful. It tasted great. Unfortunatley the whole bottom layer crumbled (due to the cake being too moist) when the staff members at the reception were cutting it. We lost a big portion of the cake, which in return was a loss of a great deal of money.

Lori did such a great job with our cake! Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted great too! We've received many compliments! Her pricing, design, and recipes make her stand out from the rest! We had Lori create a custom cake flavor for our wedding and it was awesome! We can't wait for our anniversary cake! Thanks again Lori!

Excellent, excellent job by Lori and her team. We ordered 500 mini cupcakes in 5 flavors as well as a small cake for us to cut and they ALL looked and tasted fantastic. She was willing to work with us on cost of the cupcakes and she even researched and made a peanut butter cake for our big day- something new for her but she was totally willing to go with it.
We would reccommend her to ANYONE and I can't wait til our one year anniversary so we can get our complimentary cake from her. :)

I was searching online for bakeries in the Grand Rapids area, and I found Lori. I was immediately impressed by her prices, list of flavors, and the images from cakes/cupcakes she had done before. From the moment I first contacted her, she was so great about returning emails and answering all my questions. She ended up doing a cupcake tower, bridal cake, and groom's cake for us. Guests raved about the cupcakes, and both cakes were a big hit. Lori really strives to make the experience great for you, and it certainly was for us!

I found Lori through a web search last year and used her for my mom and then my husbands birthdays - her cakes are wonderfully delicious! Artistic, gorgeous and taste wonderful. After being amazed by her birthday cakes, I couldn't go anywhere else for our wedding cake.
She's creative, energetic, always smiling and very flexible. She made our cake 'ours' and made sure that we were thrilled. She stayed after delivery to place the flowers on the cake as well to be sure it was just 'so.'
Lori made our wedding day even more special with her amazing cake. We will continue to use her for all of our future family and friends events.

Lori at Desserts by Lori was very easy and fun to work with! I brought pictures of exactly what I wanted and we worked with my budget to make the cake just right! I had previously had a meeting with another baker in town and they changed all of my ideas and the cake they quoted me was 2x the price of Lori's cake! Lori made great suggestions to me that would make my cake have more detail and stand out a little more, but never changed anything that I wanted. We choose 3 different flavors (1 for each tier) and also had a full sheet cake made to cut down on the price. Lori even met with me a total of 3 times just for me to try a special caramel filling she was creating specifically for my liking! She truly went above and beyond and I would recommend her cake and services to anyone!

Desserts by Lori made our wedding cake and grooms cake; they did an amazing job. Every single piece was eaten, and I had atleast 10 people ask me who made our cake because it was so delicious. I came in with some ideas and Lori made them a reality. The cost is quite reasonable and Lori is a delight to work with. She was accomodating and helpful. My wedding cake was so delicious that my family ordered my mom's 50th birthday cake from her as well.
