Diverse Sounds

Kevin was a great dj, entertained the crowd, makes sure what you want for wedding what your dislikes and likes are, very professional.

Diverse Sounds did a decent job DJing our wedding. We worked with Jim throughout the planning process and he was very responsive. Their prices are also very good and their lighting/set up was great. My only complaint is that we had a list of several songs that we really wanted played and had asked before booking if they would be willing to work with our song list, which we were told yes. But Tom, the DJ that was assigned to our wedding seemed to believe he knew best what songs to play based on his years of experience DJing weddings and didn't play several of the songs we had requested, and also played way too many "safe for older guests" type songs. We had a large party and a very young crowd, and had specifically pointed out that we liked a lot of current dance music (i.e. Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, etc. -- None of the songs we had requested had explicit lyrics or were inappropriate for weddings), but a lot of what I heard being played was less current. I actually sent one of our groomsmen over a couple times to ask the DJ to play less slow songs since the majority of people were hanging out in the cocktail lounge area and not out on the dance floor. By the end of the night of course everyone was out there having a great time. Tom was very nice and complimented us saying our wedding was one of the most fun he had been to. He was pleasant to work with, however overall I would have liked more current dance music played and would have liked to have had a few more of our specifically requested songs played.
