Grand Rapids Trolley Comp.

I had a horrible experience with this company, and from what I have heard from other Brides, so have other people. They NEVER return emails or telephone calls. I would have to email numerous times to get a response. the ONLY redeeming factors is that the Trolley it self was great and our Trolley driver was great!! She was so much fun and really made the ride great. I would love to work with the driver again, but NOT the company. The ONLY reason I recommend this company, is because of the driver.

GR Trolley provided a fun way for the Bridal Party to spend the time between the wedding and reception.

We loved the trolley ride in between our ceremony and reception! The trolley arrived timely, and brought us to our next locations on time as well. Our driver (Maureen) was so much fun - we loved her!

Very nice!! We wanted something different and we got it!! Our driver was very friendly and put up with everything we wanted to do!! Definitely made a statement in the trolley! (makes GREAT pictures as well!!)

A little bit difficult to get in touch with, but on our wedding day, we loved the service. Our driver was great! She was nice and flexible, on time, and we were able to get a large trolley like we needed.

It was a little hard at first to get a hold of them but once everything was booked it turned out great. They went where we wanted them to and we had a wonderful time.

We had an awesome time with Grand Rapids Trolley! Our family, friends and bridal party loved the trolley and the experience since they were from all parts of the U.S. My husband worked with G.R. Trolley and never once had a problem with trying to communicate with them via email or phone. Our driver was wonderful and we loved the back porch. GR Trolley Company is EXTREMELY hard to get a hold of whether it be by phone or email. I tried contacting them several times and never received a returned phone call. Since they are the only trolley company in town, and that is what I wanted for my wedding, I didn't really have much choice other than not to book them. Between the time we hired them and our wedding, our ceremony start time and reception location changed. Miraculously, I was able to get ahold of the company right away and was able to make the switch no problem. I requested a certain trolley because of the number of people that it sat; I probably should have asked a few more questions about it because it didn't have a back porch (something I really wanted) and it didn't have air (an issue that wouldn't have been a problem last summer with our cold weather, however; I ended up getting married on the hottest day of the year and would have really appreciated air). I didn't do much comparison shopping for transportation since I wanted to have the trolley, however; for hearing what friends have paid for thier party buses, I think the trolley is a fair price. We had a great time on it and other then the issue with customer service, I was pleased with the time on the trolley. However, if you aren't set on a trolley in GR then I don't recommend hiring them.

I emailed the company several times to let them know the pertinent information and never heard back - literally never. I wasn't even sure they were going to be at the church. In fact, I let my bridal party know that if when they walk out there is no trolley we'll move to Plan B. Absolutely ridiculous. If you aren't set on a trolley in GR then I don't recommend hiring them. The only reason I give them a 3 on value is because I thought the price was fair.

I absolutely loved our trolley ride between the ceremony and reception. We had a great time stopping all over Grand Rapids for photos ... we were able to accommodate our wedding party's dates as well and they had fun just drinking and dancing while they waited for us. They had a great cd player we could play the cds my bridesmaid played. The driver was so sweet and really flexible. Everyone really enjoyed this part (especially the wedding party that isn't from grand rapids and had never been on a trolley). Yes, they were difficult to get a hold of (email seemed to work better), but they did get back with us and showed up when they were supposed to.

DO NOT use this vendor. They were awful to work with. It took them over 6 weeks to call me back after daily attempts and several messages. They cashed my check for a down payment and never had the courtesy to call me back. They also showed up late to pick up the bridal party on my wedding day. Talk about stressful when the wedding party does not have a ride to the reception. The manager/ owner was extremely rude when I finally got a hold of her (Beth). My Dad finally had to show up at the address they had listed in the phone book to try to figure out what was going on.!!! My photographer also has had several other brides that had poor experiences with them showing up very late. How Terrible!!! Also be ware of things they may charge extra for that is not written in the contract!!

I really wanted to have a trolley after my ceremony and GR trolley Co. is the only one in the Grand Rapids area. I will say that they are extremely hard to get in touch with but the best way is perhaps by email. I was a little disappointed that my trolley didn't have a back porch on it, I guess I assumed they all did. It was clean and a LOT of fun. Our driver was Ellen and she was great! Request her if you can. The prices are a little steep but like I said, they are the only trolley co. in GR so they don't have to compete with anyone over rates.

We had a female driver and she was a very wild driver. I was sliding all over the seats in my dress. But we were allowed to drink so it was worth it. The Holland and Grand haven Trolleys don't allow beer or champagne. I wish it had the open back but it was still cool for photos. Sort of pricey but I wanted it. I was willing to pay more so I did not have to get in and out of a limo.

The trolley was one of my favorite parts of our wedding day. We cruised around to different parts of GR and took pictures and enjoyed the open air of the trolley. Our driver was awesome and played our music loud and clear. It was perfect! Our friends and family on the trolley loved it, too!

We rented a trolley that took us all over. He stopped for pictures and got us across town really fast.
