Karrn Frost Photography

It's funny - planning a wedding I knew that you spend a huge part of the day with your photographers, but I didn't quite realize just how intimate that can be. I think the photography vendor is about as important as any other vendor for a wedding considering the relationship they have with you on your wedding day, and the fact that they're such an integral part in making the day a success. I've been a bridesmaid 4 times, so I'd had experience with wedding photographers and seen things I did and didn't like. I had a large wedding party at our 12/31/09 wedding, and many of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were married and commented on how our photographers took so many more pictures than their photographers, and were so much nicer and easy-going than the folks they worked with. I don't wish to criticize any other photography vendor; I only mean to highlight the fact that people who have had experience working with wedding photographers were impressed by Lotus and the fact that they were very present throughout the day, but (especially later on) no one even noticed them (and we know they were there - we have the pictures to prove it!) Ken and Karrn were unbelievably kind, relaxed, creative and supportive. My husband and I enjoyed spending the day with them, our bridal party kept commenting on how "cool" they were. When we got our pictures from them, we were blown away. We have more pictures than we know what to do with, and they are funny, beautiful, interesting, and do an incredible job of encompassing the feeling of the day. I can't recommend Lotus highly enough, and my best piece of advice is to choose a photographer you'll feel comfortable spending the entire day of the 'biggest day of your life' with. Ken and Karrn are so flexible and kind that I imagine they'd be the perfect photographers for just about every couple looking to plan their perfect wedding.

We hired Lotus' associate Josh to be our photographer and we absolutely adore him and his work! Josh had just the vision we were looking for and both our engagement and wedding photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Josh was so laid back and fun to work with! I only wish that Josh was able to blog his own work.

They were awesome.

Karrn is awesome at what she does. She takes amazing pictures and was by far the best purchase for our wedding!!! Only negative comment I would make is that it takes her a while to get back to clients and to get their albums/pictures done. It is worth the wait though!

Choosing Lotus Photography was one of the best wedding decisions I made. We were so pleased with the quality of the pictures. Karrn did a wonderful job taking pictures of everything that was important or special during the day. She is very fun to be around so it wasn't awkward posing for pictures or having candids taken throughout the day. The photographers both made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.

I really lucked out with Karrn and Lotus Photography for my wedding in Arcadia, Michigan. I planned my wedding from Chicago and Karrn really helped me with the difficulties of long distance planning. She even came to Chicago for our engagement shots! I found her professionalism and experience were particularly helpful in guiding the overall flow of our day. She was full of advice when I was clueless about what step to take next (not many of us have ever planned a wedding before!) And her work was exactly what I'd hoped to capture the most beautiful day of our lives! I would recommend Lotus Photography to anyone planning to marry in Michigan. Thank you, Karrn!
