Paul Retherford Wedding Photography

Paul did an awesome job with my pictures!!! I think I received excellent picture quality and service, he is worth every penny and more! A couple in our wedding party had gotten married two months before us and they told me during the reception that they wished they had hired Paul because he far exceeded their photographer, and they spent the same amount of money. He was the one person I hired, from church to band to flowers to reception and more, that had exceeded my expectation. He was the one thing for sure that went right at my wedding. I just can't stop looking at my wedding photos. Thanks Paul! :)

Paul took fantastic, artistic images that truly captured the spirit of our day. He was very helpful and congenial throughout the day. We were so glad he shot our wedding as we'll have great memories forever in our pictures.

He was very helpful when it came to any questions I had about packages or photos and always answered with quickness.When taking the photos he had such great ideas and poses. All my pictures were wonderful.My husband did not want a photographer at all for our wedding and after working with Paul, he says he is happy we went with him.

We could have not asked for any better photographer he is professional, he takes tons of pictures, and if you happen to be lucky enough to get married on Mackinac Island,MI like Dennis and I did you will be so happy with Paul ,very creative in taking photographs lots of before and after the wedding shots and many during the ceremony and then make sure you have hired a white horse drawn carriage ride after the ceremony because Paul gets on his bicycle and follows the carriage and takes hundreds of pictures of the bride and groom all over the Island.Paul is personal with the bride and groom and finds out what kind of pictures you are looking for. And talk about being quick he had our CD's ready in two days!!!!! And the cost is excellent in my opinion, believe me ladies I did my homework and did a lot of shopping around for a photographer and Paul Rutherford came out ahead of all of them as far as price, professionalism,quality of pictures and a very very nice person to work with and that meant so much to Dennis and I. Paul's website is excellent as well , very professional and gives you lots of great ideas for pictures for your wedding day. We were having a teenage girl meltdown during the beginning of the wedding, and he did such a great job of capturing terrific shots despite the challenge. Paul was wonderful. He is very professional and knowledgible. Everyone commented on how great the photos looked. He set up a laptop during the reception so people could see the pictures that he had already taken. By the end of the night he had taken 3,000 shots. It was hard to pick our favorites. But one of the great benefits is that we co-own the rights to the pictures. We got a high resolution CD with all the pictures on it, so later if we want a different shot we can have it printed. I would re-hire Paul in an instant and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Paul was wonderful to work with! He was extremely flexible and able to easily go with the flow -- yet make sure that every little moment was captured. I felt he was transparent (I've seen too many photographers consume way too much of the bridal couple's time -- so was extremely happy how efficient Paul was in getting the shot and moving on to let you enjoy your day!). I felt Paul was like two photographers in one -- he not only captured the posed shots, but would take pictures of everyone around you and capture their candid shots while posing you into position all at the same time (I swear he didn't miss a beat!). His pricing is unbeatable, the pictures turned out amazing, and our wedding album was more than I could have imagined.What you get hiring Paul over other photographers is the small things that make such a big difference. Great examples, although just a few, are that he gives you rights to all of your pictures on a cd (so you have your own copy of every single picture he takes of your wedding and are free to do with it whatever you choose -- which for my wedding was approx. 3,300 pics!), he sets up a laptop at the reception of pictures he just took of your ceremony for your guests to enjoy, and he sends an email to any interested guest of your wedding pictures so they can see them firsthand online and have the option to directly purchase any of the pictures through him (taking any leg work of playing middle person from the bridal couple!).I am an extremely anal and very finicky person who took months of researching any given vendor when making my choices and let me tell you -- I can guarantee that you will be extremely happy should you choose to hire Paul! He did such an amazing job with my wedding that my sister is hiring him for hers!
